We started life 20 years ago as Inland Casino Corporation, a casino consulting company, and transitioned to a NASDAQ publicly traded company, known as Venture Catalyst (or "VCAT") that provided a diverse range of services and capital to enable start-up and emerging companies to launch their businesses at a faster pace. We used our business expertise to seek out diamonds in the rough - opportunities involving smart people with great ideas who needed money and business sense to get started. We nurtured these ideas, helping them create key partnerships and seeking out the best people as they grew. Here are just a few examples:

The Barona Resort & Casino

20 years ago, the Barona Tribe operated a struggling bingo hall and card room. With VCAT's help, Barona grew into a respected and profitable casino, then became a world-class property with the opening of the Big Top turn-of-the century circus-themed casino, and in 2003 opened the Barona Resort & Casino, a casually elegant resort destination 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, CA.

Casino and Hospitality Software

In 2001, VCAT created the gaming industry's first fully integrated customer relationship management (CRM), marketing and business intelligence system. It started as an idea that VCAT nurtured; when the product launched, it instantly became the casino industry gold standard for CRM systems.

After a few years, more than 20 major casinos in the United States were using the software system which captured the attention of gaming giant IGT, the world's largest maker of slot machines and systems. IGT bought VCAT’s software business in 2006.
